Welcome back, Friars! We’re thrilled to welcome you home for a memorable Reunion Weekend. To ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions. Whether you’re wondering about check-in and registration, attire, or parking and campus facilities, you’ll find the answers you need right here. Where do I check in for the weekend?

All Reunion guests must check in for the weekend. Please check in and pick up your weekend materials, including your name tag, at the following times: 

Friday, May 30 
5 – 9:30 p.m. 
Ryan Center for Business Studies Atrium 

Saturday, May 31 
9 a.m. – 2 p.m. 
Slavin 112, Fishbowl

If you are staying on campus in Shanley Hall, housing check-in will be in Shanley Hall Pavilion from 3 – 9 p.m. Pick up your name tag and other materials to start the weekend here. 

Guests registered for the Golden Friar Welcome Cocktail Reception on Friday, May 30 will be able to check in for Reunion at AQUA at the Marriott on Orms from 5-7 p.m. 

Can I register on-site?

You may visit the registration and check-in area and register on-site on both Friday and Saturday.

Is there a cost to attend Reunion Weekend?

Yes, there is a cost to attend Reunion Weekend. Prices vary for each class based on their specific class events and other events you decide to attend. 

Why is there an additional charge included in the registration cost?

The registration cost includes a contribution that helps us maintain and enhance the quality of Reunion Weekend. This contribution supports venue arrangements, special activities, overall logistics, and other aspects of the event, ensuring that all attendees have a memorable and enjoyable experience. Additionally, in celebration of your Reunion and Beyond Limits:  The Campaign for Providence College, your registration includes a $5 gift through The Fund for Providence College.  To honor the spirit that makes you “Forever a Friar,” you also have the opportunity to increase your impact by making an additional contribution in support of PC students. All gifts received from March 11 – April 10 will also count toward Friars Give.

To register for reunion without this additional charge, please call our office at 401.865.2412. 

How do I change, add, or cancel my registration once it has been submitted?

Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@providence.edu or 401.865.2412 to cancel or make changes to your registration. Please note the cutoff date to receive a refund is Wednesday, May 21. The processing fee and the gift through the Fund for Providence College are non-refundable. 

Where should I enter and park on campus? Will there be campus shuttles?

Please use 212 Huxley Ave. as the address for GPS. Public Safety will direct you to one of our parking lots.

Plenty of parking is available on campus. We will have shuttles and golf carts readily available throughout the weekend. If you need a campus map, please download one here. The map is also available online.

Where is the designated ride-share pick-up and drop-off location?

The designated ride-share pick-up and drop-off location will be at the bus station at Huxley Ave., or 212 Huxley Ave.

I am staying on campus. What do I need to know about Reunion housing?

Housing Check-in

If you are staying on campus in Shanley Hall, housing check-in will be in Shanley Hall Pavilion from 3 – 9 p.m. Pick up your name tag and other materials to start the weekend here.

There will be staff and students available to assist with check-in. We recommend checking into housing first before attending other weekend events. At least one member of your group must check in for housing. We recommend entering campus via the Huxley gate (212 Huxley Ave., Providence, RI 02908 for GPS).

If no one in your room can check in before 9 p.m. on Friday, your room assignment and key cards will be able to be picked up in Slavin 112 on Saturday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Amenities

The following will be provided for your stay at Shanley Hall: one (1) linen package per person, which includes two (2) sheets and a pillowcase, one (1) blanket, one (1) pillow, one (1) bath towel, and one (1) face towel. Shanley Hall is air conditioned.

Accommodations will not include the following: shampoo, conditioner, soap, toiletries, alarm clock, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, television, telephone, coffee maker, clothes hangers, plates, glasses, or utensils.

Check Out

Guests must check-out by 11 a.m. on Sunday morning. Instructions will be provided in each room.

Do the bars at the events take credit cards?

Yes. There are also Santander ATMs located in the lower level of the Slavin Center and the main floor of the Ryan Center for Business Studies.

Will there be zero proof options available at the events?

All bars will have zero proof options.

A morning check-in will be offered supporting individuals at all stages of recovery on Saturday from 9 – 10 a.m. in the basement of St. Dominic Chapel. This is a safe space for all, hosted by National Alumni Association President Brian McManus ’90. Coffee and pastries provided. 

Where should I be for my class photo?

All class photos will take place on Saturday, June 1. Please see locations and times below.

Class of 2020 – Harkins Outdoor Classroom, 4 p.m.

Class of 2015 – Class Event, Raymond Hall Lawn – 5:30 p.m.

Class of 2010 – Harkins Outdoor Classroom – 12:45 p.m.

Class of 2005 – Class Event, McPhail’s – 6 p.m.

Class of 2000 – Class Event, Ryan Center for Business Studies Lawn, 6:30 p.m.

Class of 1995 – Class Event, Ryan Center for Business Studies Patio, 5:45 p.m.

Class of 1990 – Harkins Outdoor Classroom, 1 p.m.

Class of 1985 – Class Event, Ruane Friar Development Center – 6 p.m.

Class of 1980 – Class Event, Mondor Center for Nursing and Health Sciences, 6:45 p.m.

Class of 1975 – Class Event, Aquinas Hall Tent – 7 p.m.

Class of 1970 – Class Event, Ruane Center for the Humanities, 7 p.m.

Class of 1965 – Class Event, Ruane Friar Development Center, 1:30 p.m.

Class of 1960 – Class Event, Center for Catholic and Dominican Studies, 2 p.m.

What are the hours on campus facilities like McPhail’s, the bookstore, or the gym?

Alumni Cafe

  • Saturday – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Campus Bookstore

  • Friday – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Sunday – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

A special book signing with PC basketball legend Ernie DiGregorio ’73 will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 31.

Concannon Fitness Center 

  • Saturday – 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

McPhail’s

  • Friday – 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday – 7 – 9:30 p.m.
What if it rains?
