Host a Friar National Game Watch

Hosting a Friar National Game Watch is a fun and easy way to connect PC alumni, families, and parents of current students in your area while cheering on the Friars.

On game day, you will serve as Providence College’s representative. Thank you for your interest!

Step 1: Select a Venue & Catering

Consider locations with

• Multiple TVs or a large screen with a host willing to show the game
• A reserved or private area with no fee to PC
• Convenient parking or public transit
• ADA accessibility
• A venue willing to host a Providence College alumni group
• Create a menu: PC will cover up to $300 in appetizers, based on attendance. Staff liaison will coordinate payment

Sports bars, restaurants, alumni-owned establishments, or breweries are great options!

Step 2: Submit your location

• Once your venue is confirmed, submit the event details using the official form.
• Submitting your location ensures it is included in the national promotion and registration page.
• An agreement will be sent from PC to the venue for formal confirmations
• One week before the event you will receive an event box with swag, signage and LOTS of Friar pride to use at the event!
• Providence College will send images to use on social media accounts.

Step 3: Prepare for Game Day

Arrive at least 30 minutes before tip-off and set up:

• Providence College flag and signage
• Check-in table with registration QR code
• Table tents
• Any giveaways, raffle items, or promotional materials
• Identify table for appetizers
• Make sure the game is on and visible from all seating areas

Step 4: Welcome Guests

• Ask guests to check in

Step 5: Capture the Friar Spirit

• You’ll lead the “Let’s Go Friars” cheer and capture it on video! Videos will be compiled and shared to all the fans in the AMP back in Providence.
• Take photos at the event to share with Alumni Relations.

Step 6: Wrap up!

• Thank everyone for coming, grab the receipt, and clean up after a big Friar WIN!
