Beyond Limits Access
Initiatives
ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS
Endowed scholarships are permanent scholarships named in honor or memory of the donor or another individual. They increase access in perpetuity, ensuring that students can receive a PC education, regardless of financial situation. Endowed scholarships strengthen PC’s long-term financial health by adding to the endowment and reducing our dependency on tuition dollars.
CRISTO REY SCHOLARSHIPS
The Cristo Rey Network includes 40 Catholic high schools located in low-income, urban areas in 24 states. A partner college since 2013, PC is committed to providing scholarship support for one senior from each Cristo Rey high school each year, for all four of their years as an undergraduate. Recipients are chosen based on academic accomplishment, financial need, character, involvement, and potential for leadership.
POSSE SCHOLARSHIPS
A premier college success and youth leadership development program, Posse identifies high-caliber students whom traditional recruitment criteria may miss. Posse offers an eight-month training program, provides support through college, and helps students secure competitive internships, leadership-track jobs, and graduate school placements. PC increasingly strives to work with partners like Posse to recruit students from diverse backgrounds, build a more inclusive environment, and ensure that campus is welcoming for all.

WHY I GIVE
Michael ’89 and Christine ’89, ’93G Luchun
Founders, Abigail Grace Luchun Endowed Scholarship Fund
In today’s world, the cost of college continues to rise and giving back is our way of ensuring others experience what we have.
Steve Caldeira ’81
The Fund for Providence College, Chair
I feel a tremendous sense of loyalty to the college which has greatly influenced my life. I am also impressed by Father Sicard’s leadership in the health sciences, which will allow PC to capitalize further on the outstanding science programs that we currently offer students.
