“I am forever grateful for how Providence College shaped me as a person and as a professional. I have found paying it forward, by giving back, has been an incredibly rewarding way to demonstrate my commitment to Providence College. I hope you will join me this year, and every year, by making your gift through The Fund for Providence College.”

“We came together … and we spread the word … because we take care of our own. That’s what we do at PC. As long as I’ve been here, they’ve done that for me… now we’re doing it for you because you’re part of the family.”

Last year, donors stepped forward to support PC’s 4,255 undergraduate students while a lobby filled with Raymond Hall residents including Daniel Singh ’26 presented security guard James Mogaji with a gift of a long-awaited trip home to Nigeria to see his family. This act of kindness caught the national spotlight and is just one example of the power of collective giving and how Friars join every day to support the Friar Family.

“It is unique and so special that we have Dominican Friars here on campus. Father Jordan is always there for me whether for advice or just to grab a cup of coffee. Spending time with him is a highlight of being at PC.”

The Fund for Providence College helps PC stay true to its Catholic and Dominican identity including a growing on-campus presence of Dominican Friars (34 members strong), and popular traditions like last chance Mass.

“Providence College has allowed me to connect more deeply with my faith. As a member of the Faithworks pre-orientation program, I immediately connected with friends and peers who share my commitment to prayer and campus ministry. I am grateful to have found a community in which I can flourish.”

The Fund for Providence College aids the spiritual-led journey that many take while at PC. It contributes to the vitalization of faith across generations of students, faculty, and mentors — extending the PC mission far beyond the campus and its current students.

Nursing

“Service to others brought me to Providence College. It was a natural fit for me. My life’s goal is to become a neonatal nurse — helping premature babies defy the odds, just as I did after being given an estimated ten minutes to live after being born. As one of the first nursing majors at PC, I am grateful to have direct access to state-of-the-art lab space and hands-on learning resources.”

The Fund for Providence College allows PC to green-light strategic initiatives (School of Nursing and Health Sciences) and add new and innovative programs (major in neuroscience.)
