Class Ambassadors
Class Ambassador Program
Class Ambassadors are volunteer representatives for their class, working collaboratively with the Office of Alumni Relations and the National Alumni Council. Class Ambassadors promote events, initiatives, and other engagement opportunities to alumni while also representing PC in their daily lives.
We are currently recruiting class ambassadors for all class years. If interested, please contact alumni@providence.edu for more information.
Purpose
To increase communication between alumni and the college. To increase the visibility of college news and happenings through social media. To create opportunities for future volunteerism with the college.
Responsibilities
Represent Providence College
- Participate in regional, virtual, athletic, and on-campus signature events.
- Show your Friar pride by wearing or displaying Friar gear/swag at events, games, or in everyday life.
- Incorporate PC into your digital presence.
- Add an alumni link to your PC email signature or Instagram bio, an alumni badge on your LinkedIn profile, create a profile on FriarHub.
- Be informed. Expand your institutional knowledge and learn about current and future happenings at PC by participating in quarterly, virtual ambassador updates.
- Exercise leadership by making an annual gift to The Fund for Providence College.
Spread the Word
- Connect with your PC network through preferred channel(s) (email, text, phone, social media) to inform classmates on College happenings and encourage attendance at various events and programs throughout the year.
- Post as an administrator on your class social media accounts.
- Use your personal social media to expand outreach. This could include:
- Distributing provided content to various social platforms (personal social media, class Facebook groups, etc.
- Reposting content from PC official account
- Posting your own organic content when involved in PC-related activitie
Be a Resource
- Serve as a point of contact between the Office of Alumni Relations and classmates, helping inform us about:
- Noteworthy accomplishments of classmates and other PC alumni leading to class notes, engagement opportunities, and potential nomination of National Alumni Association Awards.
- Updates on classmates’ contact information and important life milestones.
- Feedback and suggestions from classmates regarding College events and happenings.
Term
Class ambassadors will operate on a July 1 – June 30 calendar, coinciding with the college’s fiscal year, and can be renewed annually.
