The Providentia Society honors the contributions of Providence College women of the past 50 years. It empowers and encourages alumnae and their supporters to advocate for issues that elevate and amplify women’s voices through collective giving.
Members of the Society inspire others to serve as philanthropists, engage with each other, and strengthen their connection with Providence College.
An annual contribution of $1,917 or above to the Providentia Endowed Fund provides an invitation for membership into the Providentia Society.
Yearly renewal of membership is required to be recognized as an active member of the Providentia Society.

Leadership Committee
The mission of the Providentia Leadership Committee is to appropriately steward gifts made to the Providentia Endowed Fund by collaborating with the College to award grants. Distributions from the Fund will be granted to members of the PC community and used to underwrite projects, programs, and activities that promote, empower, and amplify women of all ages. These annual grants will support initiatives that strengthen the academic, social, and spiritual growth of the Providence College community.
Twenty-seven benefactors serve as inaugural members of the Leadership Committee; therefore, we are not currently onboarding new members.
The Leadership Committee will be guided by the following pillars:
