Providentia Grant Application

The Providentia Society was formed to honor the contributions of Providence College women of the past 50 years and empower and encourage alumnae and their supporters to advocate for issues which elevate and amplify women’s voices through collective giving. Members of the Society will inspire others to serve as philanthropists, engage with each other, and strengthen their connection with Providence College.

The mission of the Providentia Leadership Committee is to appropriately steward gifts made to the Providentia Endowed Fund by collaborating with the College to award grants. Distributions from the Fund will be granted to members of the PC community and used to underwrite projects, programs, and activities that promote, empower, and amplify women of all ages. These annual grants will support initiatives that strengthen the academic, social, and spiritual growth of the Providence College community.

The Leadership Committee will be guided by the following pillars:

  • Enhancement of leadership skills
  • Amplification of women’s voices and experiences
  • Access to programs and opportunities that inspire participation in a full range of academic and career pursuits
  • Increased connection among alumnae and Providence College
